As a podcast editor, I find it really helpful to write show notes while editing because I already understand the content. However, sometimes I forget important points if I don’t take copious notes.
That’s why I was really excited when I discovered an AI tool that can generate a summary of the unedited transcript. I had tried a similar tool called Capsho, but it didn’t do a very good job.
The new AI tool I discuss in this episode is much better because it provides a more descriptive and emotive summary for episodes. This is perfect for my show notes formula.
The AI tool can produce a condensed paragraph summary and even more if you ask for it. It’s not perfect, but it’s a great way to quickly remind myself of the episode’s key points when editing. What’s even better is that this tool is built directly into the platform and it’s currently free! I think this is really exciting because it can potentially provide a much more fundamental understanding of the episode’s value, as well as the human stories behind it.
